the effort, because I caught a new 323g ad. (# 1610-11) at H.8. I was able to place the trap shelters (each cont. 2 Tomahawks) right beside houses 5, 8 and 7, but Hze. 6 was too high up and I had to settle for placing the shelter in the canopy about 4-5' below Hze. 6. I didn't manage to catch the jnw. I saw last night at H. 6 though. Got to bed at about 0230 PST.
Slept until 0900 PST. After breakfast I revamped an old wooden shelter/encounter arena that I have used to hold woodrats previously in the lower Barn. I patched up the holes, cleaned it out and replaced a pierspex strip along one wall with 1/4" metal mesh. I want to stage some encounters in the Spider Tree tonight.
In the afternoon I lifted those redundant "Y-markers" (1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, & 14) and set pairs of traps at Y houses 8, 11, 15, 16, & 17. I'll hit the remaining active Y houses tomorrow night. I then continued clearing access to houses on School Hill (across lane from H. 130 and 131). Reset Trap pairs at 504, 505, and the newly accessed 506, 507 & 508. I also set traps in lower long field (110-209), and I reset all 8 traps in the Spider Tree.
2200 PST Checked traps in Spider Tree: caught 4 FF paired them up in 3 diads w. F 2269 common to all 3. The observation period was 5 mins. All 3 were fairly amicable but F 2269 seemed
