P.A. Kelly 1987 Journal 4ai Had some interesting captures: New immigrant Dec 18 -> 1557-58 (213g) at H.71, (had snagged his (colt) R. hindfoot in R. of Trap but seemed to recover complete use by the time I released him); new jwr -> 1553-54 (117g) at H.25, must be young of ?1182-83 (who seems to have moved into reconditioned H.28); new jwr ?1555-56 (forgot to write down her wt.) at H.61, her mom ?1347-1053 may have moved out of H.61 and into H.60; also in that same area ?1465-66 is lactating as is her aunt ?1387 - 2300. If those two successfully rear daughters it will add a new dimension to ?1347's matriline: Matriarch, Daughter, Grand-Daughter and Great-Grand-Daughter. Further, ?1465 is only 8 mths old, remember her radio-collared mother (?1247) was sniled by a predator leaving a high quality house to ?1465 (ie. H.62). Also ?1145-46 at H.90 is lactating again, & I think this is her 4th litter of 1987. Around 0730 pst watched a young 2-point Buck chasing 2 Does and 4 fawns around Pearson Field. He had his tail raised the whole time, mouth open (flehmen?), and he shook his head, and kicked laterally and posteriorally with his hind legs. This went on for at least 5 mins.
