Sat. belly. He seemed in reasonably condition,
Nov. 14 though - not a ridge-back - so I bet he
(cont.) has a bullet wound on the other side or
in the head-neck region. I will try to
examine the skeleton - if it is still there -
in a few weeks time.
I forgot to mention that I also
took 4 students (Karen, Jan, Aaron and
John) down the long field to radiotrack
D-1289. Unfortunately the commotion
of 5 people, 'albeit trying to be quiet,
cased him to return to and stick close
to Hze 85. We'll try to do more telemetry
tonight but I would like to dust him
with fluorescent pigment first.
Took 4 students (Jan, Aaron, John, & Jan)
for a hike by Mark + Shorty's up Buckeye Hill
and then down through Chamise, Oaks and
Buckbrush behind the Schoolhouse. We saw
various tracks, a Trasher but no frigs.
12 of the students set pairs of traps
for woodrats. Meanwhile Bernie Peyton
helped me set traps at 26 houses
in the long field. Jim Patton and some students
set up 2 mist nets for bats at the
now-empty Blum Pond.
1830 P.S.T. captured D-1289-91 at Hze 82 and dusted
him w/ Orange Pigment. Nan Wavra came along to see
