P.A. Kelly 1987 Journal Sat. belly. He seemed in reasonably condition, Nov. 14 though - not a ridge-back - so I bet he (cont.) has a bullet wound on the other side or in the head-neck region. I will try to examine the skeleton - if it is still there - in a few weeks time. I forgot to mention that I also took 4 students (Karen, Jan, Aaron and John) down the long field to radiotrack D-1289. Unfortunately the commotion of 5 people, 'albeit trying to be quiet, cased him to return to and stick close to Hze 85. We'll try to do more telemetry tonight but I would like to dust him with fluorescent pigment first. Took 4 students (Jan, Aaron, John, & Jan) for a hike by Mark + Shorty's up Buckeye Hill and then down through Chamise, Oaks and Buckbrush behind the Schoolhouse. We saw various tracks, a Trasher but no frigs. 12 of the students set pairs of traps for woodrats. Meanwhile Bernie Peyton helped me set traps at 26 houses in the long field. Jim Patton and some students set up 2 mist nets for bats at the now-empty Blum Pond. 1830 P.S.T. captured D-1289-91 at Hze 82 and dusted him w/ Orange Pigment. Nan Wavra came along to see
