P.A.Kelly 1987 Journal 20 left most of them open until morning. Did however catch another new O (1529-30, 227g) at 2A (The Sycamore at the Y) and O 1481-82 who has moved from the Spider Tree (H.5-9) to H.15 since Sept. 27. Mon. Nov. 2 0500 Went out and started checking and closing traps. Still raining, but in a more or less steady drizzle. It is very dark however, and it should remain so for another hour. My tape record er batteries packed up after 1 hour and I had to revert to my Traffing Record Sheets. Saw a short, stocky and very pale-colored bobcat ( ? ?) on the lane at H.136. Jumped up off the lane into Gate Field. There were also some big oak branches down on the lane near H2e 134. I didn't catch very many rats: only 8 including a recapture of F 1460-61 in the Spider Tree (H.5-9). It seem that Rat Activity is certainly curtailed by the rainfall. It's great though that I can get this data - thanks to my 100 new fly+fine TrafShelters - all 8 woodrats ! were snug and dry inside the shelters. I continued to collect fecal pellets also. Had an interesting capture at H/18 at 0614: I caught a new adult immigrant O (1531-32, 284g)
