P.A. Kelly 1987 Journal Oct. 31 (cont.) Had to go into Carmel Rancho in the morning to get some more wood glue for the Trap shelters as well as food supplies. Assembled 30 more trap shelters in the afternoon. Connie Adams helped me distribute them and set traps at H25 79 to 126 (incl. 130, 132 + 134). Finished by 0545. Sun. Nov. 1 0500. Picked up Connie at the Bunk H2e and we proceeded to check and close all 60 traps. The trap shelters seem to be a roaring success. I may even have increased the odds of catching any given rat. We caught 20 woodrats at 19/30 houses (double capture at H6). Had another new O (1527-28, 213g) immigrant at H.109. I also caught a new 179g F (1525-26); I think she is probably the daughter of F/145-46 who was last. (I had a juv O (1505-06)) on Sept. 25. F 171 has disappeared from H.103A since Sept. 27 and has been replaced by F 1453-54 from H. 101A elsewhere. We also collected 18 more packets of fecal pellets - F/145-46 left no fecal pellets in the trap shelter. The count this time was from 1 (F/1453-54 @ H.103A) to 257 (F 197-98, O 1507-08 @ H.116). In the morning I put another twenty trap shelters. Then Connie helped me
