P.A. Kelly 1987 Journal downstream and across the creek from Hzes 101A and 101. The house is located in the roots of a lge live Oak and has a lot of fecal pellets on the creek side. Hinsdale + Tevis' H36 marker is still in place as is Lois Greens Marker #2223. The main entrance is between some lge roots on the side of the creek, but there are 2 other entrances dorsally. Not much other cover, apart from the lge live Oak itself, a little defolliated poison oak and some shrubs. Hinsdale + Tevis refer to this House (36) on P. 106 of the 'Book.' I set 2 traps (1ow each side) and I am tentatively naming it Hze. 104B (By my Scheme, in relation to 101 & 101A). I also collected some old compacted latrine debris from beneath one of the arb. houses in the Spider Tree (5-9). Bill Rainey wants it for an albumen array. Since it also contains some woodrat remains, I am giving it a Catalog # (PK. 174). Sun. Soft 27 Got up at 4:30am and went checking traps. Got molling at 101B but an immigrant & at Hze 15. Saw 3 Pigs at c.11am under Oaks junction of Martin Rd. and Robertson Rd. Headed to Berkeley at 11:30am.
