After 18 (end) Tree (H5-9) on May 12, 1986. (11 months absence???)
Around 6pm yesterday evening I heard what I thought was a child bowling on Haystack Hill/Pearson Fld. Went on for about 2-3 mins. Went to investigate but didn't see any 2 or 4-legged malcontents.
Could be a Bobcat or maybe even a Htn.
horn. Again at about 6.30am I heard a single hellow/orar from Haystack Hill. I wonder did both of these sounds emanate from the same source?

Apr. 20 left MVZ at 2pm and headed for Hastings with Anne Brooke. (Anne has just completed her Masters on Tent-making Bats (Costa Rica) with Tom Kunz at Boston Univ., and was offered her assistance to me for 2 mths before entering the Ph.D. program under McGracken after a big stint at the U. of Tennessee.) Stopped off in Salinas for supplies and arrived in Hastings c. 5.30pm
Helped her move her stuff into the Bush Hze.
From c. 6.30pm to c 8pm (1730 - 1900 pst) we set traps from Hzes 1-98. We had dinner at the Red Hze. Introduced Anne to M. Stanback, N. Popkin, Cindy and Nita. We started checking traps around 2030pst and had them all finished + closed up 2 hrs later. Picked up another Smith absentee (S)1185-84) at H1.
