Spring c. 10 pm ♀ 2186 h. Spring c. 10:15 pm ♂ 2179 - 1219 (+ 1 Spotted Sheld) New Juv. ♀ (1270) Sept. 11 Got up 6 am, checked and closed all traps. Caught another spotted shunk at h. Spring. Seems smaller than last nights one. Really stinks. I don't think it actually sprayed me but I could not shake off the smell. U. Spring 6:10 am ♀ 2187 - 1218 New Juv. ♂ (1269) h. Spring 6:20 am Spilogale Rocksilde 6:30 am New Juv. ♂ (1272 - DIED). with R.C. + Metofane. In lab: Sedated the 4 newcomers, took blood via Heart Puncture and washed mouth with 0.25ml Dist Water for Saliva Sample. ♂ 1269 U. Sp. 263g, 0.5 ml blood. ♀ 1270 h. Sp. 145g, 0.4ml blood, 1/2" wound on shoulder ♀ 1271 Rocksilde 175g, 0.4+ml bl. (FAK 153) ♂ 1272 " 187g, Died under Anasthesia, Tissue. Hil Agula All. Held onto the other 4 tagged rats to prevent recapturing tonight. Gave all 7 snakes bedding and Aspen leaves for the night.
