July 12.
Sagehen Creek Field Station, Nevada Co., California
left Berkeley with Sue Bonfield (M.Sc, field assistant
Woodpecker Project at Hastings) around 10am, arrived
Sagehen c. 1pm. Showed Sue around the station
and stowed our gear.
At 4pm we assembled 30 Tomahawks and
set 12 at U. Spring , 6 at S.Spring, 6 at the
Rockslide, and 6 at X89. All were baited
w. GOB and had a wad of Dacron/Cotton added.
Didn't do an evening trapcheck.
Instead took Sue to see the Trestle and
Wyethia beaver 'colonies'. Unfortunately, we
did not see any beavers. Hit the sack at 10pm
