P.A. Kelly 1986 Journal. Drove to Santa Cruz in the afternoon and borrowed a Radiotelemetry receiver, 2 Antennas, and 7 more Transmitters from Kay Holkamp (former student of Steve Glickman). Returned ?? 2253-1062 to H.19 @ 5pm. Signal decreased once inside H.19 and also dropped off rapidly with distance from H.19. Signal only discernible 20-25 ft from H.19. Trapped H#s 1,3, 11, 15, 16, 20, 5-9, 26, 27, 28, 50, 51, 56, 62, 64, 65, 68, 69, 71, 74, 75, 76, 81, 73, 79, 77 until 10pm (See Field Notes), but only left 18 traps (with Dacron or Cotton Bedding) at H#s 50, 51, 56, 62, 68, 74, 81, 77, 79 other all night long because of a sharp drop in temp.. ♀ 2275 (H.16) has had a litter (& lost 3lg) since March 28. 10pm - signal still coming from H.19. 1. Apr. 3 8.20am " " " " 4 Tomahawks w. Dacron & COB at H.50. ♀ 2272 and daughter (3 Notch - 3 Tags pulled out) in seph. traps in cozy Dacron nests (despite heavy frost, did fine). No sign of 3 Notch's other sib (unmarked - see F Notes March 25). Raccoon track(?) near H.80 along creek. 2" wide by 3" long, 4" x 1" toes. Tested signal range of transmitter # 21415 with
