P.A.Kelly 1984 23 Journal Sept 30 Got up 6.30 am and after a cup of coffee went out to check the Spring Sites traps with Diana land. I was surprised to get nothing at the Upper Spring Site although the lettuce had been eaten in some traps. However at the Lower Spring Site, I got four animals (one already tagged # 2205 ), of 6 remembers that line was set c 3.30-4 pm so chances of all bait being eaten by mice or chipmunks was slim. Thinking of rebaiting again in the late afternoon but its threat ening to rain here. # 2205 is the ♀ I released at the Upper Spring on April 21. Weighed, sexed and tagged the other four animals. Ear Tag No. Sex Wt Site 2205 (recap.) ♀ 280 g l. Spring 2170 ♀ ♂? 265 g U. Spring 2169 ♂? 175 g l. " 2173 ♀ 180 g l. " 2171 ♂ 345g. l. " # 2171 appears to be an old battered ♂, one upper incisor broken, Los 1,244 on Back left foot missing. Released all five animals at site of capture (within site) at about 4.30 pm. Intermittent rain and light snow showers, so lifted all traps by 7pm. Oct 1 Got Greyhound back to Oakland ($19) 5hr Journey.
