El Kalstern 1954 Bufus cronus (52) Oct. 16 Tioga Pass meadow, 9920 ft. Crosses to 16" height and higher margins of sink-holes where loose of shoots greenish. Dwarf willow leaves dry and falling. The meadow bottoms have obviously seen seepage due to full rains since water level rose an inch or two from August 30th. No snow in Sierra yet this fall, although frosts had first during past week.
