1/4 of meadow area. Floor of meadow overall brownish
color of dead grasses. New grass spotty but to 4" some areas. Rare bogoler adults and egg clusters. Mat eggs uncovered. Air temp. (bulb shaded) 1° above dead meadow grass 14.50c. at 12:44 p.m. Water in pool of running water 17.40c.
Paregnie Flat, 1950 ft., Y.N.P., mariposa Co., Calif.
No signs of canines except a few Rara in the creek. Possible census area is down about 0.2 mi. E of public campground. Paregnie Creek Campground another possibility. 8100 ft.
Snow Flat, 8700 ft., not checked but should be good locality. Snow depth here up to 2 feet. Taraya Lake high will water. Turned on to Tuolumne meadows, 5400 ft. (See ground for additional notes on other sites) it would appear that cold night temps. are keeping foods down in areas above. Fairly extensive energy mode of good food sites. Only mole took land was at white wolf meadow.
