Oct. 19 Color notes on lorenz collected Yosemite Valley Oct. 16.
ELK # 388 subadult ?
Ground color a slate gray dorsally with the off slade
white (bluish cast) underneath, per overall green
(flecks)
dorsal oggyrous but there are small patches of
Fern (IV) green - marcy & Paul, around the black
spots on back. Work not heavily rust-tipped.
Black runs into elongate blotches ventrally
d& on sides of body. Crustoid mostly slate
grey but bluish grey on side (green-flecked)
ad gray with some suffusion of rust-brown.
Ventral strije discontinuous, not discernible until
ventral protuberance. A thin pencil line of
off slade white to scrol lunge. Ventral
strije slightly raised up as an elevation of skin.

silver edge above
d&or pupil
Venter with edgy black
blotches. Small 1mm. spots
scattered over throat.
ELK # 389 adult ->
G.c. Olive drab Pl 15 13-5 Mo & P. will sell
black flecks thru it. Dorsal black spet red
blotches. Crustoid light reddish brown (G-9 Pl. 14)
62 are tips of work & tubercles. this -> less dorsal
black blotching that ELK # 390. Ventral strije
thin pencil line - cream colored rd almost distinct
eye region to scrolm, but not ventrol region. Vela
greyish-white, little spotting, none on throat.
Nuptial excrescences developed 1st & second digit.
