Bufo boreas
June 21 Chris P. Hank, Director Officer for Yosemite Park, provided me with a U.S. Public Health Service report on mosquitoes (ad modern control) in the Valley 1944. Report in Park Engineering file. Mosquito species listed by George E. Wash-burn. Those in greatest numbers:
Culiseta incidens (Theob.) - a meadow breeder
Aedes varigolgens (Coq.) - tree hole breeder
Aedes vexors (mg.) - meadow and river culiseta and pool breeder, most controls directed against Aedes in Valley. All pest species. Survey showed no crapevine mosquitoes in area.
