Mariposa Co., Calif. Stebbins and I worked 9:30 A.M.
(Daylight Savings) until 1:00 P.M. setting up the
weather station. Photos taken of the station. Water
depth where the float stuck out 19". Present length
of stake above the water now 6 1/2". The galvanized
tube containing 2 thermographs (air and water [soil])
set on the grass surface with water 1 inch up
around its base. The lead tubing for the water
recordings extends 8 feet N from the tube. The
open spout from the tube is 4 inches above
standing water.
