Brown Towhee R.E. Johnson 1968 Nov. 30 Berkeley Aquatic Park, Alameda Co., Calif. Several other species of ground feeders appear fairly common. These birds appear to adapt well to "civilization". Seen feeding in open with White-crowned Sparrows, a Water Pipit, & Meadowlarks, & also with a Golden-crowned Sparrow where nearer the shrubbery.
