Dec. 12 - 1:30 PM; weather still cold overcast; country mostly open fields; with occasional groups of walnut trees and clumps of cottonwood, oak and a few sycamore trees, especially along five Sacramento River banks noted along numerous yellow-pilled California woodpeckers, one Lewis Woodpecker, one turkey vulture, and white-crowned sparrow. (Aurivillius) Aurivillus in a field by a farm house. gives were seen (feeding on the ground) Dec. 12 - 9 M. & P.M. - yellow-pilled warb- cicero (colored calif.) about 100 ft. quite cold, and the sky overcast. flew 2 AM rain/snow mix, noon 00:30 fog on this day more between 2:30 A.M. and all the observations made in the refuge.
