Maclan 1967 Journal [19 June] the polygons N.S. of Micro-Met - 1 displaying ♂ + 2 presumed ♀♀. No pectorals. The west wind has now given way to an East wind, bringing cold, foggy weather more typical of June. Went into Barrow and took Ezra to the high area SW of Barrow near the ocean to look for buffing there. Saw none. A pair of bairns near Beck Construction Camp - otherwise nothing. This area characteristically supports both bairns and semi-pols. Saw the first flowering Pedicularis lavata there. Interesting - it was completely ours on the South-facing side, but not yet flowering on the North-facing; proof of reduced light intensity of the midnight sun. Grass growth is well along there - 3 inches in places. Saw a bumblebee. Returned to Ezra's and spent rest of the night and part of the morning addressing envelopes. Barrow, Alaska 20 June Spent the morning asleep. Waked around the lab, then rode into town with Merle to get our blood tests. Returned too late for the field so cleaned up stovacs and Bertleses. Had
