Saw very few birds. A very young
juvenile peotral (?!) near Micro-ller,
apparently lost or deserted and giving
distress calls - a ♀ semi-pel harassing
a passing long-tailed jaeger, a pair of
parasitic jaegers in the distance, snarly
at estrip a glaucous gull.
Came to the lab in the evening to
clean up specimens and other lab work
in preparation for the big transect push
beginning tomorrow.

and did C-3 to Family Lagoon to
complete the B3-C3 km. Then Dan
I converged from C2 and C3 to
complete the square - 4 km. done in
a morning. Missed our meeting point
on the last km. by 1 (one) meter -
amazing.
Saw a flock of ca. 12 melanotos
