802 Apr. 13 Besides above I have found or heard of finding, 7/9, 59½, 385, 375, 365-619 15 Sam. shot a Black Crow Night Heron, in our pepper trees, this morning. Size: Lgtl. 2 ft. 2.50in. Ext.4ft., wg. 12.50in., Thsin. Bl. 3½ 18. Geo & I went up Sycamore & across the hills. Found eggs of 5-19, 539, 531, 4/3, 59½, 743a,; and set ½ of Canyon Wrens. Also got some good notes & May had a good time in general. 5. Went up Poison Oak Canyon & along Buckhiv. Mt. Dry collecting 3set 7/3 & 1set Hummers. - 356, Duck Hawk, ?, P. Bdw Co. Lgtl.19, Stel. 42 wg 14.5 TL.6 Drie brown 5-23-1890. H. Hall. {Skinned by Hurd. coll. by Warner Sent to a.W.Mote, L.A} 16 Started at 4:30 P.M., & found 12 nest in Caldwell's marsh. 2 eggs. (596½) left. next. Yel. warbler. 4eggs. hard time to get them without shelling also got 1gal. water in
