94 Kingfisher is a new one for me. Also saw a Bittern and had an oppor- tunity of watching him catch frogs. His most appropriate name is Slidepoker. Observed 15 species. Full list on slip. Sep. 14 Saw another Kingfisher near Colton bridge. Aug 29-31 Spent at Perris and home via La Reliev- S J Lake Eden Springs etc. Saw 6 Jays at the Springs. Saw 4 ducks (Mallards) and Several Great Blue Herons 3. Sep. 11-15 Spent at Perris etc. Went through the hills and stopped at a spring where I shot a Bella Sparrow from a flock of eight or ten. No. 64. Sept. 19-21 spent in the San Bernardino Mts.- Watan an Oanyon to City Creek. For report see page 5. 20-
