39 On the north side of a little hill, almost directly east of [illegible] on a good sized knoll or small hill, and almost directly east of 38. Here there is Archæan limestone. Now the contact line must pass between localities 38 and 39. And since the creek valley just east of 38 would best con- tinue the line of strike suggested by 35, 34, and 37 the contact is located here. The hill range east of said valley for some distance south would therefore rest on Archæan rock, although there are no exposures in the same to indicate this. R.S.
