ten I found on the N.E. side of this hill a line of limestone, evi- dently an outcrop and evidently lying E of the slate. Sandstone may once have underlain the limestone therefore if at all pre- sent. Further north shale may be seen in the old road bed which would also place the limestone just mentioned E of the shale. Mine- over the next outcrop which is all limestone evidently also lies E of the shale.
