Fossils in Orwell, at bottom of hill, 1/2 mi. N.E. of village. where the sparry limestone is fully developed, at base of sparry limestone. Maclurea large. chazy. Higher up at same locality are obscure fossils, at top near the slate occur distinct bivalves, Receptaculites Neptuni; Trenton "Sparry Limestone" Shoreham. N.Eastern part. 2 miles N.of Shoreham village. A ledge Called 'Mutton Hill'; The rocks in ascending order are 1. Light gray embedded Sandstone. in beds 6" to 2'-3' thick. So a eight feet at top honeycombed with Scolithus linearis Potsdam. 310 feet
