West J Riff Brievre, 1mi. W of Parksville, Ry, Dev. chert thickness unknown. 1ft 6in. crinoidal, Devon. 4ft. inclusions massive clay rocks darkish, soft, stony, Platynyx & tegulorum collected. In and from Jackson Edwards, 5ft Dev. limestone, massive, one clay layer 1ft below top coral fauna not crinoidal limnicl (top 4ft = Devon) 6 in. C myl marks, fiddleschlyfts to 12 inches. Largest shells 1-4 inches. With clunch+elp + some extreme DEv. Chert. Up stream from J.J Edwards, 2 offm layers with strongly emphamated fossils appreciated - 1ft other. Beneath this is successive Devon limestone fossils seen. This section of Devon limestone only estimated at 2ft to 3 feet probably. \frac{1}{2}miles SSW Jim J. Edwards, Black shale, 2ft 6in. Dev. limest. crals few, dev. shells of herridschs, 5 in. clayey layers, 1ft Clinton. Large crinoid heads. White shell dela + Stricklandbank 14ft 6 in Clinton, with Tegellia? stony 2ft above base J ex prime base of Chert. {Faith in down stream Platynyx on left of creek = best, at 55 ft below limestone like Clinton & D so a miles west examined. Better seen on opposite side of stream Black shale, 1ft massive, clayey, from both Devon to 2ft massive, little chert Platynyx. 7ft thin bedded cherty Dev. 3ft 3in. massive as westy Parks, Glandon 44ft interval. Clay weathering very clayey. Platynyx loose
