258 at Bill Mankes house 1/4 mi. E of Crab Orchard station, Cyatophyllum crals. D. phyphyllum [illegible] Farnites handlings fairly Lamellos. Cladifera? 12 1/2 ft of Pennv'an exposed the top 1/2 ft is less fresh stems but the remain- der of the section contain many crals + a few branchyferda. Not in a con- dition to collect. Many could be recognized if Davi's crals were taken into the field. Apparently the upper 1/2 foot of section just described which may equal 3 feet when fully exposed equals the brecciated layer. Base of section not seen yet. 11/3 At Mr. Howard's lander, About 1 mi E of Bill Mankes small spirifels are seen on surface of grey Lynn layers. Being siderolite both for identification. About 3 feet of Pennv'an exposed. Brady Myoda from 0-4 ft above bed. Not critical. [77] Markings cloud seem very critical all are abundant immediately above the bre- ciated layer. 114 E of Crab Orchard, a road across Dicks river. NE from Bill Mankes, 3/4 mile. Black slate. 11 ft Derv L in Layer 1-2 ft thick. Crals at top. Not critical. Concentric. Blotrophyphy lons. 4 1/2 ft. Der. L. at tip one large spirifus + crals. Berry barks. Not critical. Large styfra reticularis. 33 ft Beyond clay, Hastiliforms, gangers are massive 2 foot bed not seen. 248. Immediately N of RR W of Crab Orchard, sand layer but amount part equivalent to free- 11/2 ft Derv L. crals at top upper 5/8 ft Farnites + dark grey spir.d. 3 1/4 white oil, eroded at whe weathered. Rather E a more directly vertical section measures 18 ft.
