Tree, 10m, 70 cm DBH. Outer bark grey-red
minutely flaking, inner bark orange-yellow.
Lvs light green above, v. light green
below. Venation NA prominent but distinct.
Fruits with persistent reflexed red calyx.
Carpels opening purple. As torus (?) enlarges,
seems that carpels start to abort until only
1 or 2 are left. Fruits about 1.5 cm across.

above. Frts start green, open orange. When
ripe, bract fall away exposing entire fruit.
About 16 seeds per fruit, sweet. Lvs light
