88 Gravel roads. Gravel should be screened as to secure free dirt- bottoms. At new embankments elevators, rotary screen bines, small dump cars. The binder + steam roller make it possible to use more run 2½ in. long. I more rocks generally than 1½ in. screen are likely to be after than 2½ in. screen, the former should be used for break larger & catch partly. 3 screens = ½ in. + two, 20% screenings necessary to act as binders. Surface tension draws the binding, dust is necessary for this binding along with water capillary action. 89 Sprinkling is necessary for binding. 3'' [illegible] 1¾ 1½'' 3½'' 8 ft. 17½'' bines for ready handling while and special binding.
