52 5 miles Alford start to Bedford. 4½ miles to Alder. Aldham Landley & Johnson. Aldham is opposite Bethelhem about 6mi = 4 mi to Jennings store = 2 to 5 miles to Salpham. Bedford. 53 At John Magan's 4½ miles South of Bedford there is a good exposure up to the Upper Oxford Clay & Agar to the lower Saluda at least. Upper Oxford clay. 5¾ Bedford limestone. 5½½ indurated Lower Oxford clay 20ft 14 ft soft whitish Lower Oxford clay Oral Niagara Clinton not distinguished separ ately. Saluda bed well exposed. Mt Pleasant ¾ mile east of Mt Pleasant) 42ft Lateral limestone Oxford Saluda Versailles. Slightly farther next ½ mi east of Mt Pleasant, where road into Johnson Farm turns off North there is a glacial gravelite boulder 2 ft in diameter. Spring in Bedford. Well maybe 1 mile from Millburn comes at base of Oxford limestone.
