La Grange Grassy in Saluda bed 2 mi's E of La Grange on the Bolleville road, just a large quarry in this locality of silt. Crab's livery stable. - Miler's town 12 m s w. Slip & then 2' m'so mud = 4 m's ch'd & bend faced to SW. Sandy face + plenty, of mineral chert 4 ft Mpyzn Bogood clays 5 ft 9 m's fairly solid Mpyzn Bogood l, 6 in basalt layers. On road directy 2ft Chertm 8 ft hard massive Saluda 47 1/2 ft soft Saluda chalk 43 ft ch'ch from top, but my subquadrata at top. Petrachin layer 32 ft clay pink chalky, 2 ft 6 in heavy blued m 46 ft. Franis Corners & upjn Lollyfawn Blm over this 8 ft. Kinrel are layers 31-77 Thrum level Waldron meeting a hill + about 5 feet of face of Lowerville directly above. 0.23+/- 6' Proposed MMS [illegible]
