Section A on Eoopus Creek beginning on land of 3/4 miles East of Olive City P.O. 1- a rather coarse green grey grit- at surface of water, about 2 ft thick dip 2 N 70 W / green 2- 8ft of laminated sandy shales 3- S.S. 1ft 4- Claygy S.S. with nodulose structure 7 1/2 feet - green mottling to reddish upper part diminishing into 5- Sandstone 1 1/2 ft 6- 4 repeats 4 ft- 7- S.S. 20 ft thinly laminated S.S. 8- flag stone stratum 10 ft- 9 the flagstones contains pebbles and plant remains and is somewhat argillaceous. 39 10 Flag Stone 8ft- iv 7 can be seen much better 1/4 mile above the covered bridge It is there sure to consist of fissile red shale running into the sandstone of no. 8. of 2nd day of June
