The vegetation is perfect and all deciduous; green from floor of woods to canopy, undergrowth plentiful; insects, carpus etc., much in evidence; green brilliant; some trees only just coming into leaf. Aspect totally different from anything in Calif. Western "freshner" decided in the East, or around Columbia Univ. Dr. Jordan not secured at Columbia! Write to Murphy for specimens of his cases in which as displayed the local birds (mounted) of Long Island. Neutral gray background is employed.
