- April 10 -
Our party consisting of Mrs. & Mr.
Frank Stephens, Mr. Chas. Littlejohn
Miss Alexander and myself left
Seattle on the steamship Jefferson
at 9:10 in the evening. Bound for
Juneau Alaska.
- April 11 -
Today was bright and clear.
We passed thru Georgia Straits
and at evening we were steamin-
g thru the Narrows. The water
was calm and we had an
unusually good view of the our-
rounding snow covered mount-
ains. The sun set at 7:05 tonight
I saw seven bald eagles this
afternoon also 4 crows, gulls
grebes, murres and loons.
The table is good and I have
begun to dwell of an amazing
appetite. We have made at least
10 miles per hour so far. The
mountains are densely covered
with the conifers with some decidious trees
along the beaches.
