April 24 -
I got hit in the eye with a twig
this morning and it has been
very painful, so much so that I
can't see to work. I went up with
Mr. Stephens in the afternoon to
look for a duck that he had shot
in the morning. We didn't find
the duck so we went over to a rocky
reef to look for shells. We found
2 clitons over 2½ inches long. We
got about 3 kinds of limpets and
several kinds of Shells. Miss Alexander
got a fine pair of northern
red-breasted Sapsucker.
April 25 -
I got conice this morning. Mr. Little
