April 24 - I got hit in the eye with a twig this morning and it has been very painful, so much so that I can't see to work. I went up with Mr. Stephens in the afternoon to look for a duck that he had shot in the morning. We didn't find the duck so we went over to a rocky reef to look for shells. We found 2 clitons over 2½ inches long. We got about 3 kinds of limpets and several kinds of Shells. Miss Alexander got a fine pair of northern red-breasted Sapsucker. April 25 - I got conice this morning. Mr. Little john got a ♂ eastern robin and as everybody else got something we were kept busy all day. I shot a ♂ blue jay this morning. We put up 20 specimens today. 3 mycrotis 70 peromyscus, Jay 1 raven 2 Townsend Sparrows 1 hermit thrush 1 Chicksadee 1 robin;
