Lincoln County, Moreland. 39 [21] A quarter of a mile south of the point where the road from Moreland to Huston- villle cruises the railroad, a mason-road n open lane goes eastward downa hill. Southeast of the first culvert crossed by the road a little stream descends the steep hill side. 15½ feet of Cincinnati lime - at one with abundant fossils are found above creek level. Some Cincinnati fossil occur in clay about 21 feet above the creek. About 6 feet of clayey rock occur above the Cincinnati fossils. For 19 feet there is no exposure. Then there are 8 feet of rock varying from green shale to a brown rock going upward. [22] 212 The rest of the section is ex- pesed on the road or lane above mentioned, between the culvert and the Moreland- Hustonville road.
