GERYONE FLAVOLATERALIS FLAVOLATERALIS :- (GRAY) A.M.N.H. has Six (6) Wants TWELVE (12) Exchange value VERY GOOD Total Permit No. 18 cb.foreburnia. 3 Remarks SINGLE RED TICK. 6/3/39 seems evenly distributed in forests, but is not exceedingly common. call seem the same as loryalties but slightly stronger than Ubea. 14/3/39 Family plentiful but regularly distributed in forest. Finds at all levels but mostly below 15 ft. in wet weather anyway. 15/3/39 a few seen, silent but active today. Feeding at all levels. 1mm shot. 16/3/39 a early feeder. Very busy feeding today, mostly below 20 ft. 17/3/39 A number of calls heard but birds very inactive except in grey dawn before forest dawn hour. 20/3/39 A few seen. Actively feeding during intervals between showers. One miniat. collected SK.36.J Bunn. 4. 22/3/39 The usual ones seen. some collected. Imm. greatly outnumber adults. 24/3/39 The usual ones seen. 27/3/39 common as usual. Imm. appear to outnumber adults by at least 4 to one+ seems nearer 8 to 1. Finds at all levels but mostly low down + up to 15+20 ft in the second growths of forest. 28/3/39 Late commencing to feed. 30/3/39 Common + feeding at all levels. Active in sun. WALLU 3-5/5/39 Seems common in area. Strong warble. up to 29/5/39. Common in all types of country except open wide space short grass grazing paddockies. 17/6/39. Feeding as usual. 19/6/39. Not as numerous as usual. 20/6/39. Common + active. Warbling much, strong calls.
