LIDICKER 1957 Journal (Jul 23 cont.) was caught on a fairly dry slope by a small house built in a heather-tail clump. No. 2118 was taken from a rocky slope just below camp. Packed away some specimens. Rain started about 1500 + stopped at about 1700. I took 1 of the 2 #2 steel + 2 wood-net corners + climbed back up on the net. Relocated Beechnies set already out - with 1 Newton corner + 1 Spotted Triche (poorly killed). Made additional set away 1 wood-net corners + 1 Bell-holed Grasshopper (poorly killed) as bait. Returned to camp for dinner. It began to rain again about 1900. Dave took last no. 2 steel + set it also on net, using 2 Mex. jumps for bait. I watched for bats in central or slope to W of camp. Saw several Myotis religiosus (apparently) but couldn't get any. Shortly after they began to fly it began to rain harder & they disappeared. Autopsied throw-away P. difpilis after dark + compiled bird list for camp with Ned. 13 ad.
