LIDICKER 1959 Journal July 19 Catch: Neostoma - 1 ad, 4 j + 1 juv. (latter discarded) from same trap - rocky outcrops. Paronyxus difficultis - 14 Thompson murbrimo - 2 Also caught a small scaled Sceloporus at base of stump near camp + later shot a large scaled black Sceloporus who was sunning himself on a stump. Picked up traps including 4 sets set in bunch grass for Sigrida. Took walk from about 1000 - 1130 up canyon. Shot a S Sciurus fulvipes. It was a small oak in a rocky area about 1/2 way up E slope of canyon. I noticed it while squawking for birds + it seemed as if it might have been attracted by the squawking. Skinned catch minus the difficultis & took a bath in the creek. Sun was shining from about 830 to 1415. This is the most sun we've had so far in this camp. Small amt of rain in late afternoon. While walking in canyon in AM saw: May Fly, Acan Woodpecker, Flicker, Spotted Towhee, Mex. Jays, Robin, Bluebird, Bunting Wren, Bark-tailed Pigeon, Broad-tailed Hummingbird (singing). Made 2 carrion sets just before dinner - 1 & no. 4 trap set near the exit of a trail + small canyon + another no. 2 trap in rocky outcrop where I set traps last night. Noticed some droppings along trail which were about [illegible]
