each of his lines & also 2 species of Peithos down
below, & also 1 individual of another Paragrythus
(Clastodipus) I skinned my catch & a D. ordin
cought by Lefkoff, several Paragrythus & lipos
of Wards & 1 Sigridon & 1 P. maniculatus for old-tin
Stoker threw away 2 P. flavius & Ward threw
away about 4 P. maniculatus & a yy. Sigridon.
Skinned most of day. After dinner Ward, Dave & I went
about 3 mi. toward the aduan to set traps. This is within
a mile + 1/2 of the aduan. We estimated the elevation
at 5350 ft. I set 49 traps spacing them quite wide
apart. Heard several Meadowlarks & a Night Hawk. Saw sev.
Pizistrrelles at dusk. Heard sev. of the Electorodactylus?
in good by camp & 3 were caught. Checked Wads' gopher
set new camps (fig 2) & had a gopher in it. No rain
during night.
July 4
Picked up traps near aduan (5350 ft.). I caught
only 1 Paragrythus maniculatus--few & desecated
1 Paragrythus flavius - skinned as described
1 yy. Sigridon minimus. Many traps are
spary. Ward got away other things: Paragrythus
higridus, sev. D. bernanti, a Nestorine, 1 D.
spectabilis, sev. yy. Onychomys & 1 cd, & sev. Peromys
maniculatus & Sev several Sigridon. Dave also
had 2 D. bernanti, 2 Sigridon, sev. P. maniculatus
