LIDICKER 1959 13 Miller shot a small rattlesnake (AHM# 11098) which was just way down a mouse hole. On turning a rock to get the snake he found a Paururus staggering around which was apparently struck by the snake (behind the shoulder) while was waiting for it to die. I skinned the mouse (WZ# 1861). After lunch packed some specimens with AHM, & we didn't have any new drying-room. Reloated traps by precipice & set 2 more (total 12), Shot & Brown Toucan & skinned him. Set 6 gopher traps (4 sets) below precipice. After dinner went with Staker & Dave six miles W to where main canyon a small canyon with precipice by which we are camped meat & then walked about 1/2 mi up main canyon to where Staker had seen fresh Siguran sign. We set 49 traps in this area. That evening we strong boat set along side 9 precipices & finally caught 1 Myotis (long ears) & 1 Eptesicus fuscus. I did not go back to canyon to collect traps.
