Bird list for camp: Brown Towhee Cactus Wren House Finch Ath. Goldfinch Lark B. Sparrow Lucas Dove Mourning Dove Mockingbird Helen Myiarchus sp. Curve Bill Towhee Berich's Wren Desert Sparrow - feeding large yg. Raven Blue Grosbeak Wh. w. Dove Scaled Quail Cedar Bock Woodpecker Camis Knight? Verdin Also saw 3 jack rabbits around camp. We broke camp about noon, returned to Agua Caliente. At km .13 on Loreto rd. saw another Citellus. We stopped briefly at the post office & then headed south on highway 4s? 6.6 mi. N of the state bordering we saw a meadowlark. We continued onto Lagos de Moreno & then took highway 80 toward Guadalajara, 9.1 mi E of Jalostotitlan we saw a large spotted ground squirrel on the road investigating another squashed one.
