Saw several Sylvilagus. Heard 1 last in evening going over top. Hard rain all night without any noticeable let up. July 21 Catch: Mus musculus - 3 - all in between vegetation near a rock wall not too far from horses - all 3 from small area. Reithrodontomys - 1 Peromyscus - 1 Bob shot a Sylvilagus & later a rock squirrel. We both saw several Sylvilagus. In afternoon I explored around for better trap sites & collected 2 g.y. Peromyscus & 2 brown tail skunks - skinning both tuxies. Set out 32 traps in an oak grove on the edge of a hill with some rock outcropping, also marganita; 10 traps in rocky area for Reithron (where I caught 1 last night); 1 steel for Neotoma in a rock wall; 35 traps in lovely & relatively open grassy areas - with some dips looking signs; 5 rat traps around camp at dips looking holes; 2 steel sets left out. Total trips 85. Bob shot 2 more Sylvilagus in afternoon. It started raining before I got all my traps out & continued all night - stopped several hrs. before dark. After dark I ran & retrieved
