(July 20 cont.) in desert, view-like bird (PM) Canyon Wren Barnicks Wren We left camp after lunch & headed back for Calilla. We talked to a kid who posted no around camp. He gave us his name & address as: Santos Jimenez, Jaltriche de adajo, Calillo, Ariz. Mother talked to an old cobber earlier from the same address & he has his name written down also. 4 mi. E of camp we saw another Citeline variageto. 5.6 mi. E we saw a Robinnow & a Scott's Oriole. In Calilla we bought some more supplies, including white gas. We ran into A. Sots who didn't know of any lots in town & also Sgt. H. Mortining who was pretty "high" but bought us a couple of cokes & we chatted awhile. Tito wasn't around. We gave up the idea of finding any lots in town & continued E. 13 mi. E of Calilla we saw another Sparrow Hawk & 2.8 mi. farther - a flicker. We camped just beyond Km marker 26 where the road makes a sharp curve N & you can see Agua calientes in the distance. As noted earlier this is right near the highest point on this roads. There is a small settlement here of only a couple of families called Venaverro (13 mi. W. Agualealientos). Set 128 traps in open area & locally area around camp. This also includes traps set along rock walls & a quite grassy area.
