Vulture Varied Bunting Scaled Quail Blue grosbeak Pyrrhula Verkin Mockingbird Goldfinch After stopping we broke camp & returned to Calillos. We bought some supplies then headed W. We made a abortive attempt to find "Tuta" or Pedro de Lorea so that we could find some bats in town 7.9 mi. by road W of Calillo (7 1/2 mi. WSW) we saw a Rock Squirrel & collected a large Scolopax (torquatus grp). 13.3 mi. by rd. from Calillo we crossed a river; .8 mi further saw a flicker; + at 17.2 mi from Calillos we leaned we were on Zacatecos & that the state line was about
