LIDICKER 1958 Sparrows were flying & whirling around together in 1 huge flock. Also saw a Long tI. Chat near Cd. de los Niños. July 13 Catch: 40 trps on fled - Dipolomp ornatus - 2 Peognathus - 1 (flem type) NW Cinde de Niños, 7 mi. WSW rocalientes. 15 in brush along rd. - Peognathus - 1 (Chaetodipus) 47 on slope - Peognathus - 4 ('') Reitholontomy - 1 (in red wall) All the wool nest trps had been spring, but they caught nothing. After skinning we walked down to Cd. de los Niños & explored the edges of the lake a bit. Saw saw. snakes & frogs which we couldn't get. Around the margins of the lake were thousands of transforming frogs & we picked up a few of these. Bird list for area: Bottles Sparrow Rufous cr. Sparrow Cactus Wren Black ch.
