LIDICKER 1958 (July 12 cont.) Noticed a gravel road to the W. 1/3 mi. farther is Club Campestre. After buying some supplies in Aguascalientes we headed W on the rd. to Calvillo. Shortly W of the city limits of Agzc. we ran into a road block. This was apparently a detour to the N, but off to the S ran a rough + muddy dirt road to Villa Hidalgo so we took that. A little over 5 mi. from the Agzc. city limits we came to some sort of an institution that we learned was called Cindad de los Ninos. It was located next to a small shallow lake with much marshy vegetation around it, + the whole aspect looked very tropical. We continued about 1/2 of a mi farther where we camped on a fairly dry slope. About 1/2 of a mile beyond our camp the dirt rd. we were on junctioned with the main gravel road connecting the Calvillo rd. with Villa Hidalgo. Set 49 traps in fairly thick brushy cover, on a moderately rocky slope + along + rock wall + outcropping. Was lots of Neotoma signs in the rock wall. Set 40 traps on more open flat, but still fairly thick - mesquite, mod. grass, etc. Finally we set 15 traps along a brushy + rocky edge to the cleared road side. Total traps = 102. Saw 1 Sylvilagus. Also saw quite a few nighthawks + Barn Swallows + at one point a large no. of toll
