camp (17 mi. SE Nombro de Dios). This is just 2.6 mi.
N. of the jet. to Villa Guerrero. Here we set
30 traps along the limsy side of a ditch about 6
ft. deep ; 30 traps in desert area nearly which
consisted mainly of clumps of beavertail & some
mesquite, + 15 traps in follow field in which the
veg. was ( - 1 1/2 ft. tall. Caught 1 small Bufo's
around camp that evening.
July 5
Catch : 1 Scaphisopus
Also caught 1 more Bufo's. We noticed several
large carnivore done in the beavertail area.
After much effort I shot a Rinophila totteri
which was quite common around camp.

Botteris Sparrow
Packed up & left shortly after noon. The state
boundary is 9 mi. beyond the jet. to Villa Guerrero.
We didn't see anything that looked like possible
mammal habitat until about 26 mi. beyond
Sombrete. This habitat stretched for about 1 mi.
to just beyond an undulant. rio. 4 mi. beyond
