Cogswell 1949 Microtus oregoni Big Lagoon, Humboldt Co., Calif. Aug. 15: One caught in trap set under Juncus sp. clump which is one of several such in 40 ft. wide grassy thistle area (old logging road) about 20 ft. from Butler Creek. Young alders or berry bush (Rubus sp.) thickets surround the area except to the SW which connects to the larger pasture area along maple creek near our camp. (see map).
