Sep 6, 79 (2 1/2 mi. NNW) Red Mtn., 5400 ft., 14 mi. S Hayfork,
Trinity Co., Calif. Noted on threedeates in the
scattered clumps of Arctostaphylos patula?,
Ceanothus cuneatus, or C. cordulatus near
the ridge top. One was seen on the 6th; o the
"mow" call characteristic of this species heard
on the other dates. No songs heard.
